Cookie Policy

This page explains the categories of cookies and similar device-storage technologies LabSource uses, and the choices available to you. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie & personalization settings" in the footer of any page.

Categories we use

Essential: required, cannot be turned off. These are required for the Site to function: remembering your quote list, your theme (light/dark), your language, and the fact that you've made a cookie choice. We do not ask for consent for these because the Site cannot work without them.

Analytics: optional, off by default. If enabled, helps us understand how the Site is used in aggregate (e.g. which pages are visited, which searches don't find results) so we can improve it. No analytics script runs, and no analytics cookie is set, until you turn this on.

Personalization: optional, off by default. If enabled, we keep a small profile on your own device of which item types you search most, so items from your field can rank higher and appear in a "For your lab" shelf. This data is stored only in your browser, is never uploaded to our servers, and can be reset at any time from the settings dialog.

Your choices

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose Essential only, Save choices (pick Analytics and/or Personalization individually), or Accept all. You can reopen these settings at any time via the footer link, where Essential is always shown as on and the others reflect your current choice.

Third-party cookies

We do not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Optional analytics, if and when enabled, may use a script from an analytics provider, which will be named on this page once configured.
